Well, it’s already the end of the first week of the first month of the new year, and what have I been up to you may be wondering? (Well, maybe not, but it was a good opening line, eh?)
I’ve made some headway on the projects I wanted to complete for the domain…that is, until my computer crashed. *weep* Because of this, my plans for revamping have been slowed down somewhat. As it is, the hard drive is still sound and thank goodness, because all my important freelance work and portfolio samples are on there. Now all I have to do is clone all whatever-gigs of it off and everything should be good. Hopefully…
Also, I come into the New Year, once again, jobless; though I like to think “freelance” is a more appropriate term. I plan to get into gear and change this, and soon, as bills are not something one can easily ignore. (Though I’d love to…) It’s not actually that hard to find jobs here; rather, finding one I want and like is not so easy. After all, if I’m going to be in a workplace for a year/5 years or even just 6 months, shouldn’t I like what I do and feel comfortable with my surroundings? Not many people can say that, and I know I may be too picky, but I don’t want that to be me.
Other than that, my New Year was largely non-eventive and vaguely boring, but I got some sparkling apple cider out of it, so it’s all good, I guess. (Would have preferred some champagne, but didn’t have time to run to the store for some.)
So, I’ll try my darndest to attend to this blog at least once in a while, if not weekly…but we’ll have to see how that turns out, won’t we?
